Veera Salminen
Specialist in Medical Oncology
I am an oncologist, and I treat gastrointestinal cancers in particular. My expertise also includes palliative care and supportive therapies for cancer patients. I also perform small procedures, such as paracentesis and the installation of permanent pleural and ascites drains.
You can also book a consultation with me if you want to discuss your situation and get a second opinion.
When I work with patients, it is particularly important to me that every patient and their loved ones feel that they are treated as an individual and treatment plans are drawn up together with the patient, respecting the patient’s wishes and values.
I want to interact my patients genuinely and treat them holistically. I also make sure that the patient and their loved ones receive enough clear and accurate information about the disease and the treatment plan. The patient’s loved ones are also welcome to attend my appointments.
